gdc-6-arm-linux-gnueabi software package provides GNU D compiler (version 2), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gdc-6-arm-linux-gnueabi
gdc-6-arm-linux-gnueabi is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gdc-6-arm-linux-gnueabi package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gdc-6-arm-linux-gnueabi *
You will get with gdc-6-arm-linux-gnueabi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
